B

arry Lynn Peck Barry was born May 23, 1953, in Sidney, New York. His early years were spent in both Bainbridge and Sidney. He graduated from Sidney High School in 1971 where he was a wrestler and a football player. In 1982, he graduated with honors from, the Rochester Institute of Technology, while working and raising a family. He had a varied career, and traveled extensively, working in management, and finance. At the time of his death, he was an operating partner at Whitecap Enterprises. He had a lifelong love of music; playing in a band in his younger years, and amassing all types of specialty guitars throughout his life. He also enjoyed collecting antiques and has quite an extensive array of unique collectibles. Barry, having worked as a regional controller for Waste Connections, also had a large collection of vintage garbage trucks. When asked what he did for a living, he always said: "I'm a garbage man". Barry left us on June 7th. He was preceded in death by his father Keith and a brother Rodney. He is survived by his mother Vivian Peck, his 3 sons Josh, Travis, Matt, and their mother Connie Peck. Also surviving is a partner of 24 years, Pam Levin, a son, Michael, and 3 grandchildren, Camryn, Jackson, and Caroline. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 on June 22nd at Landers Funeral Home in Barry's hometown of Sidney New York.
