Berniece Swanson - Obituary

erniece Edith Swanson, 92, of Annapolis for 47 years died Sunday, July 1 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after suffering a stroke. Born May 12, 1920 in Chicago, IL to the late John and Martha Rudolph, Berniece graduated high school in Chicago and then married her husband, John H. Swanson on June 15, 1946. In support of her husband’s Navy career, they moved several times and lived at nineteen different addresses throughout the country. She was a member of the Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Her hobbies included being an avid reader, being a homemaker and being very active in various committees of the churches in which they worshipped. In addition to her parents, Berniece is also preceded in death by one sister, Edith Rudolph who died at the age of 7. She is survived by her husband John H. Swanson and one nephew, Joel C. Swanson.
