Betty Cooley - Obituary

etty Louise Patterson Cooley, age 83, a resident of Annapolis for more than twenty years and previously of Charleston, WV, died on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, MD of kidney failure. Born on January 6, 1928 in Charleston, WV to the late H. McKinley and Eva Fannie Patterson, Betty was a homemaker and foster grandparent with the Department of Aging. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and quilting. Betty was married on June 16, 1946 to William Russell Cooley, who died on December 21, 1966 and she was pre-deceased by a son, the late Kenneth R. Cooley. She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Ann Miller of Annapolis, MD; a son, Keith E. Cooley of Charleston, WV and a brother, Jackie L. Patterson of Rodenbach, Germany. Friends are invited to Betty’s Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Thursday, March 24 from 3:00pm until her memorial service begins at 4:00pm. Interment will be private.
