etty Josephine Galloway, 79, died of lymphoma at Chesapeake Future Care after a brief illness. She was born August 1, 1930 to Benjamin and Ethel Galloway and lived at home in Edgewater until 1990 when she moved to Ohio to live with her niece. She later returned to Maryland where she remained for the rest of her life. Throughout her life she enjoyed doing puzzles, playing cards, watching game shows and soap operas and spending time with family. She took several bus trips across country and also enjoyed going to church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Charles Galloway of California and her sister Doris Cullember of Annapolis. Survivors include brothers Donald B. Galloway Sr. of Edgewater and John Francis Galloway of Stevensville, sister Bonnie Parrish of Palm Bay, Florida, sisters-in-law Helen and Peggy Galloway, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to Betty's life celebration on Thursday June 24 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037 where services will be held on Friday June 25 at 11am. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
