Betty Kreamer - Obituary

etty Kreamer, of Chincoteague, VA and previously Hyattsville, MD, passed away on February 5, 2016 at the age of 82. She was born to the late Thomas and Lottie (Fox) Ford on June 24, 1933 in Silver Spring, MD. While raising five children with her husband, Frederick, Betty held several different jobs but none she cherished more than being a stay-at-home mom. She had many hobbies and interests but reading was top on the list. Her Kindle could be found with new and old novels, romances and comedies. She also enjoyed dominoes, slot machines and television series from the 60's and 70's like the Virginian and Gun Smoke. Betty was a proud member of the American Legion Post #131 Colmar. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Allen and Frederick Kreamer; and her son, David Wayne Allen. Betty is survived by four children, Barbara (Paul) Moler of Millsboro, DE, Karen (John) Porter of Edgewater, MD, John (Shannon Wood) Kreamer of Harwood, MD and Missy Kreamer of Mayo, MD; 12 grandchildren, Leah (Rich) Hummel of Grass Lake, MI , Paul (Christine) Moler, Jr. of St. Leonard, MD, Nicole Moler of Arlington, VA, Jennifer (Mike) Cummings of Lexington Park, MD, Amanda (Bobby) Kendrick of Ft. Myers, FL, Cassie Allen of Ithaca, NY, Shannon McIntosh of Nashville, TN, Gene Lilly II of Edgewater, John Porter, III of Edgewater, John Kreamer of Edgewater, Chelsea Kreamer of Edgewater, and Danielle Kreamer of Edgewater; six great-grandchildren, Emily and Elizabeth Moler, Aoife and Fiona Cummings, Victoria Hummel, and Avah Kreamer. Friends may call at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Thursday February 11, 2016 from 11am until a service begins at 1pm. Inurnment at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham at a later date.
