Betty Malkowski - Obituary

etty Malkowski, 86, of Temple Hills, Maryland, passed away on August 12, 2019. She was born on February 8, 1933 in London, England to the late George Hull and Norah Cady. She was married to the late William “Bill” Malkowski for 66 years, prior to his death in December 2018. Betty met Bill while he was deployed with the United States Air Force in England and together they traveled to many destinations and built a wonderful life. Betty is survived by her children, Stephen Malkowski (Karin), Lorraine Ramsey (Jim), and Patricia Lambeth; grandchildren, Christopher Lambeth (Alison), Heather Lambeth (Rick), Juli Sanders (Mike), Steven Wright, and Andrea Whitley (Jesse); and great-grandchildren, Carter Sanders, Jackson Sanders, and Caroline Lambeth. Betty loved to crochet and was an avid bingo player, bowler, and enjoyed playing keno. She frequently crocheted hand-made baby clothes and donated these to hospitals and babies in need. Betty lived a remarkable life. A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 10:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 5416 Henderson Way, Camp Springs, MD 20746. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD 20735. A reception will follow at the Knights of Columbus, 3611 Stewart Road, Forestville, MD 20747.
