Betty Lou Paulison - Obituary

lizabeth L. Dunn Paulison, “Betty Lou”, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19 surrounded by her children. Born on September 28, 1923 in Newark, NJ, Betty Lou was the beloved ”only” child of the late Joseph A. Dunn and Bess L. Dye. She grew up in Belleville, NJ and upon graduation from Belleville High School and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School she worked for Atlas Chemical. After marriage to Peter Jared Paulison, Jr. on September 28, 1956 they moved to Pompton Plains, NJ. She was a 50 plus year member of the First Reformed Church of Pompton Plains and enjoyed her ‘Circle’ group. Her interests included spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, travelling, reading, playing bridge, golfing and ‘Red Hats’. In addition to her parents, Betty Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Jared Paulison. She is survived by her children, Janice (Bob) Keating of Severna Park, MD; Elizabeth (Michael) Douglas of Davie, FL; Sally (Lou) Carrasco of Arnold, MD; and Pete Paulison of Pompton Plains, NJ.and her grandchildren, Bobby, Taylor, Maddie, Evan, Bryce, Ryan, Sean, Hunter and Cole. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Reformed Church of Pompton Plains, NJ, 529 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444; where a memorial service will be held in late December.
