etty Sue Veronick, 91, of Annapolis and previously of Glen Burnie passed after a battle with vascular dementia. Betty was born June 6, 1926 in Pasadena, MD to the late Alvin and Mary Deichmiller. She was Lab Tech Assistant with Westinghouse from which she retired in 1991. Betty was a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church in Glen Burnie, and Riva Trace Baptist Church in Riva. She was also an active volunteer at Baltimore Washington Medical Center working in both the gift shop and mail room, and a member of the auxiliary at BWMC. In her youth Betty enjoyed playing the piano. She also enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening and golfing with co workers from Westinghouse.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a grandson, Neil Veronick; siblings, Leroy, Frederick, and Alvin Deichmiller, and Helen Cherry.
She is survived by her children, James Veronick of Riveria Beach, MD, John Veronick of Rawlings, MD and Helen Goodall of Riva, MD; four grandchildren, John Veronick, Aaron Jeffords, Rachael Lesniewski, and Sarah Johnson; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mae Ferrell.
Friends are invited to celebrate Betty's life on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10 AM until a memorial service begins at 11 AM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037.
