Betty A. Woolford - Obituary

etty A. Woolford, 93, a lifelong resident of Annapolis, MD passed away on February 24, 2023. Betty was born on July 3, 1929 in Annapolis to the late James and Lillian Williams. Betty graduated from Annapolis High School and worked as a book keeper. She enjoyed keeping her yard in Annapolis pristine and watching football games. Her true passion in life was raising her three children and spending time with her family. Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Frederick “Fritz” Woolford, Sr.; eight siblings, Mary “Libby” Wilkinson, Joseph, James, Ronald, Richard, Warren, Louis, and Frances Mosley. She is survived by her three children, Frederick “Fritz” Woolford, Jr. (Dee) of Severna Park, MD, Linda Habercam (Jim) of Prince Frederick, MD, and Tina Woolford-Hughes of Annapolis, MD; her six grandchildren, Doug Remaley, Dustin Remaley, Dylan Hughes, Penni Jordan, Nicole Woolford, and Samantha Jones; her seven great grandchildren, Douglas, Brian, Kyle, Emma, Harper, Jace, and Skylah. Betty is also survived by three siblings, Marge Christo of Annapolis, MD, Robert Williams of North Carolina and Rita Robbins of North Carolina. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Betty's life on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403.
