Beverly Ann Miller - Obituary

B

everly “Ann” Miller, 84, a 25-year resident of Ocean City, Maryland and previously of Annapolis passed away on December 21, 2025 in Salisbury. Born on January 26, 1941 in Solomons Island (Calvert County), Maryland to the late Charles “Luke” Rogers and Myrtle Bassford Rogers, Ann graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Annapolis. She went on to have an over 20-year career at the United States Naval Academy Midshipmen Store. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of Ocean City as well as OC University. In her spare time, Ann and her husband Ernie, traveled extensively across the US and even ventured going to Spain a few years ago. Pony-watching at Assateague Island, and staying in touch with hundreds of family and friends on Facebook were her recent pastimes. All of her life, she would be chatting on the phone with family or a lifelong friend well into the wee hours of the morning. Aside from frequently saying "Oh, I want some of that too, but not if it has raisins -- I can't stand raisins", she'd remind her children that "you have to be a friend to have a friend". Ann became close to those she just met and it is not surprising that more than a few consider her to be their silly surrogate Mother or Grandmother. Lover of all things chocolate, Halloween and Christmas, her world revolved around the life she made with her devoted Ernie and time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren most of all. Ann is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years - and just 3 days shy of 65 years – Ernest J. Miller, Jr.; her son, Kevin Miller along with his spouse, Kristen Miller and former spouse, Catherine Miller; her son, Michael Miller along with his spouse, Heather Rosenbloom Miller; her grandsons, Jeffrey Miller and Ross Miller; her granddaughter, Courtney Miller; and her great-grandchildren, Elliott, Morgan, and Annabel Miller, and Sylvie Puckett. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ann’s life on Monday, December 29 from 5 to 7 pm at Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD, where her funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, December 30 at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis. Online condolences and tributes may be made by using the memories link on this page.
