everly Joan Storms, 73, a 7-year resident of Annapolis, MD and previously of Crofton, MD died December 6, 2013, at the Tate House in Linthicum, MD after battling Parkinson’s Disease for more than 20 years and multiple myeloma since September. Born on December 19, 1939 in Albany, GA to the late Fred and Mildred Topshe, Beverly graduated in 1960 from St. Francis Xavier Nursing School in Charleston, SC. She worked as a nurse for the Public Health System in Prince George’s County for 21 years until her retirement in 2001. Beverly was a mother who raised five children on her own while working full time. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed dancing. Beverly is survived by four sons, William Storms of Martinsburg, WV, Sean Storms of Edgewater, Joe Storms of Spotsylvania, VA and Kelly Storms of Millington, MD; one daughter, Teresa Trail Storms of Churchton, MD; one sister, Angela Topshe King of Lexington, SC; two brothers, Fred Topshe of Augusta, GA and Michael Topshe of Columbia, SC; and ten grandchildren. Friends are invited to Beverly’s Life Celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 12 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 13 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 West Central Avenue, Davidsonville. Interment at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 16 at Elmwood Cemetery in Columbia, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O.
