Beverly Ann Strickland - Obituary

everly Ann Strickland, age 91, passed into eternal life on July 6, 2024 after suffering a stroke. She was born on January 15, 1933 in Orange, Massachusetts and moved to Maryland after marrying Major James A. Strickland, a Marine graduate of the United States Naval Academy and George Washington University who was deceased in 2000. Beverly worked as private secretary to the organizer of the 6th World Sport Parachuting Championship of the World in Orange, Massachusetts at the Orange Airport. She held a variety of other positions throughout her life and had many interests and hobbies. She is survived by a sister, Dorothy M. Forster of Southampton, Massachusetts, many nieces and nephews, step-daughters and step-grandchildren. There will be no funeral service or calling hours. Kalas Funeral Home in Edgewater is entrusted with Beverly’s cremation. Her cremains will be interred with her husband, James A. Strickland at the Church of the Messiah Cemetery in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Her sister, Dorothy extends heartfelt thanks to the “Earth Angels” who lovingly cared for “Bev”.
