Billie B. Shaddix - Obituary

f Ft. Washington, MD passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Billie was born in Pyriton, AL on August 7, 1931 to Albertis Lee and Thelma Duncan Shaddix. He served 22 years in the US Navy as a photographer and had the honor of serving seven presidents in the White House as Director of White House Photographic Services. Billie married Lucy E. Shaddix “the love of his life” September 16, 1954. They had a daughter, Billie Jennean in 1958. Their hearts were broken in 1962 when Jennean passed from Leukemia. He is survived by his wife, Lucy and his sisters, Erma Joye Adams and Martha Clara Sims. Friends may call at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Monday, August 23, 2021, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. A private interment with military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
