Bonnie Jean Roberts - Obituary

onnie Jean Roberts, 69, a resident of Palmetto, FL for five years and previously of Harwood, MD, died on Friday, December 28 in Annapolis, MD. Born on June 19, 1949 in Washington, DC to the late Lois May and Charles Raymond Griffin, Sr. Bonnie graduated in 1967 from Frederick Sasscer High School in Upper Marlboro, MD. She enjoyed scrapbooking, collecting shells, the beach, working in her flower beds, painting, arts and crafts and spending time with her grandkids. Bonnie is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Chester Bennett Roberts of Palmetto, FL whom she married on July 8, 1968; her children, Staci (Tony) Pessagno of Edgewater, MD and C. Brian (Alix Shore-Kaminski) Roberts of Annapolis, MD; her brother, Charles Raymond Griffin II of Hurlock, MD; her sisters, Sandra Chaney of Shamokin, PA, Charlene Hooks and Shirley Griffin both of Colonial Beach, VA; grandmother of Kaitlyn, Kyle, and Cole Pessagno and Rosemary (Rosie) Alexandra Roberts. She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Collins. Friends are invited to celebrate Bonnie's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Wednesday, January 2 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
