onnie Jean Warrington, founder and original director of Visiting Angels of South County, died in her home in Davidsonville on Monday, March 6 due to complications of frontotemporal dementia. She was 65. Born in Annapolis on January 6, 1958, Bonnie was a lifelong achiever and excelled in everything academic. She was a member of the National Honor Society, graduated from Towson University in 1980 summa cum laude and received her Masters degree from the University of Maryland University College in General Administration in 1995. Her career allowed her to do what she loved best, working with people. She had human resources positions with AGA, NRI, PIW and EEI before deciding to become her own boss by starting Visiting Angels of South County in 2007, a home care agency where she was able to provide seniors with home living assistance and combine her management skills with her humanitarianism. She sold the business in 2018 due to her illness. Bonnie was a warm, kind, giving person full of energy and optimism and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. Preceded in death by her father, Leland Duttweiler, and her brother, Gregory Duttweiler, Bonnie is survived by her husband of 42 years, John Leslie “Les” Warrington, her mother Eleanor Duttweiler, her sisters Linda Popp (Bruce) and Ann Marie Warren, her in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and cherished friends. Family and friends are invited to Bonnie’s life celebration on Friday, March 10 from 10 AM until her memorial service begins at 11 AM, at Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, 2700 Horizon Drive, Suite 120, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
