Bradley Swanson - Obituary

radley Rocke Swanson, 70, died unexpectedly of pneumonia on January 19, 2013. Born on November 7, 1942 in Olean, NY, he became a life-long DC area resident after serving at Andrews Air Force Base in the early 60's and earning a degree in Economics from the University of Maryland in 1968. After almost two decades booking entertainment for weddings and night clubs in the DC area, he became an insurance broker for Chesapeake Insurance Group, later Sandy Spring Insurance in Annapolis. His hobbies included flying, power boat racing, golf and tennis and he always enjoyed a "cruise to nowhere" on the Chesapeake Bay. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Kimberly; his sister, Carroll; and his nephews Richard Rocke Scriven and Bradley Rocke Scriven; and his life-long friends. Friends are invited to Bradley's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater from 5pm until time of memorial service at 6pm on Wednesday, January 30. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Prince George's County Animal Management Division, 3750 Brown Station Road, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772.
