Brian Emmett Mills - Obituary

rian Mills, 77, a resident of Edgewater for 23 years and previously of Laurel, MD and Hyattsville, MD, died at his home on April 12, 2025 after a six week battle with leukemia. Born on October 3, 1947 in Washington, DC to the late William and Mary Mills, he attended Gonzaga and DeMatha High Schools, and worked for many years as a dispatcher for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Edgewater, and in his spare time, he loved reading and visiting the beach. Brian is survived by his wife of 26 years, Cecilia Mills; his daughter, Jennifer (Justin) Mobley of Edgewater; his siblings, Bick Mills of Jessup, MD and Maureen Killian of Davidson, NC; and his grandson, Jackson Mobley. Family and friends are invited to Brian’s life celebration on Saturday, April 26 from 2-5 PM at Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Interment will be private.
