Bruce Rogers - Obituary

ruce N. Rogers, Jr., age 50, a 10-year resident of Crofton, MD, died on October 19, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in El Paso, TX on February 23, 1958. Bruce attended Salisbury University and the Lincoln Technical Institute in Columbia, MD. Bruce served in the U.S. Navy from 1979 to 1989. Most recently Bruce was employed by the Coca Cola Co. He was a history buff who loved to read. Bruce is survived by his son, Justin N. Rogers, who is serving in the U.S. Army and is stationed in Italy; his parents, Bruce N. and Phyllis Rogers of Heritage Harbour; his brother, Scott Rogers of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; his sisters, Kimberly Gauvin of Welcome, MD and Tricia Smith of Odenton, MD; his grandmother, Phyllis Reid of Heritage Harbour and his former wife, Gerrie Rogers of Crofton, MD. Friends are invited to Bruce's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Friday, October 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation, 2001 Medical Pkwy., Sajak Pavillion, Ste. 240, Annapolis, MD 21401.
