Their union was a beacon of love and laughter, lasting an incredible 72 years until Edna's recent passing in 2025. Together, they built a loving family and shared countless memories, leaving a legacy of compassion and warmth. Frank served as a devoted officer in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1974, earning his wings, and several commendations for his outstanding leadership. Often during his retirement years, Frank and Eddie paced the sidelines or stood in the bleachers cheering their grandchildren to victory in their various athletic endeavors. Frank’s commitment to service extended to numerous community organizations where he served as a board member, sharing his wisdom and guidance. A man of diverse interests, Frank was an avid golfer, and photographer, two passions that followed him to numerous duty stations around the world. In his later years, Frank found joy in puzzles, Sudoku, and the well-worn pages of his father’s daily missal. His smile, twinkling eyes and sense of humor stayed with him to the very end. Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife Eddie (Edna), his cherished daughter Mary Katherine, his parents Sam and Mary Adorney, his siblings Joan Benach, Santina DeGirolamo, and Charles Adorney.
