J “Mum” Mumme, 66, of Annapolis, MD died June 13, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. Born July 19, 1941 in Oakland, CA. She served in the United States Navy. She was employed at the Washington Post, and at the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund (M.A.I.F.) as a supervisor, retiring in 2000. CJ had a small role in the John Waters' film, “Female Trouble” as the bailiff (1974). Her memberships included Sweet Adelines, Fleet Reserve and the American Legion. Her hobbies were music, theater and fine dining. She also loved playing with her dog, Tink, and making memories with her family and friends. CJ truly enjoyed life and had a wonderful sense of humor. Survivors include her partner of 19 years, Beverley Birch; mother of Lisa Boynton of Annapolis, MD, Carolyn Mayr of Shady Side, MD and Debra Curro of Riva, MD; sister of Lee Mumme of Reno, NV; grandmother of Taylor Curro and Etta Boynton; mother in law of Tom Boynton, Roland Langeluttig and Steve Curro. A graveside service will be held on July 19, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD. A celebration of her life will follow from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the Fleet Reserve Club in Annapolis, MD. Arrangements by the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD.
