"Ski" as he was known, was a member of the United States Navy for 20 years; during the Okinawa Campaign in World War II he served aboard the USS Vincennes (CG-49) and the USS Intrepid (CV-11) Aircraft Carrier. He participated in the battle of the Philippine Sea. Ski was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, the American Legion and the VFW. Ski was a dedicated American who took great pride in his naval service. Ski''s last residence was the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. He passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014; the beloved brother of Mary Brzuzkiewicz; uncle of Barbara Normich; dear friend of Billie and Lucy Shaddix. Relatives and friends are invited to Ski's Life Celebration on Monday, August 4 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the GEORGE P . KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD where service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 10am. Interment Arlington National Cemetery ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2014 AT 9AM.
