Carl A. Stevenson - Obituary

arl "Butch" Allan Stevenson, 78, a one-year resident of Edgewater, MD, and previously of Harwood, MD, died on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at his home, from complications of Parkinson's disease. Butch proudly served in the United States Army and worked in the land survey industry for Denny Messic & Assoc. Surveyors in his early years and later he retired from Ronald Johnson and Assoc. He was a member of St. Andrew the Fisherman Episcopal Church, and the Maryland Society of Surveyors. Butch enjoyed vegetable gardening and was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan. In addition to Butch’s parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Gordon Stevenson and his twin sister, Elaine Fay Stevenson Birdsong, and his grandson, Allan James Stevenson. He was the beloved husband of Veronica "Vickie" Stevenson; father of Scott (Teresa) Stevenson; grandfather of Grant Douglas and Luke Michael Stevenson. Butch will be missed by all that knew him. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Butch's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Saturday, November 20 from 1 PM until his memorial service begins at 2 PM.
