arlo R. Brunori, 74, a resident of Annapolis since 1964 died on May 30 at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Born on January 27, 1939 to the late Carlo P. and Josephine Agostini Brunori in Jessup, PA, Carlo was a 1956 graduate of Jessup High School, attended Blair Academy and graduated from Cornell University in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology and wildlife management. He played football at Jessup High School, where he participated in the annual “Dream Game”. He also played at Blair Academy and on the freshman football team at Cornell. While at Cornell, Carlo was a member of Theta-Xi fraternity. In 1964 Carlo began working at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. His career, which spanned thirty one years, included work in wetland preservation, water quality, code enforcement and wildlife management. Carlo was an avid outdoorsman and hunter and was very interested in the environment. He was a certified Hunter Safety Instructor and participated in the hunter safety programs sponsored by the DNR. An active NRA member, he also belonged to the Wildlife Society, the Wild Turkey Federation, the Annapolis Elks and the Sons of Italy Chapter. Carlo was a supporter of Cornell University, especially their football program. He is survived by his wife, Carol Barron Brunori; a son, Carlo A. Brunori and his companion, Joan M. Flynn both of Annapolis; a brother Ralph T. Brunori and his wife, Joanne Marchese Brunori of Clark Summit, PA; a brother in law, Richard Barron and his wife, Barbara of Moscow, PA. He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to Carlo’s Life Celebration from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:30 on Friday, June 21 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis.
