Carlos Alejandro Miranda - Obituary

n Tuesday, October 13, 2026, the night sky became significantly more handsome as Carlos Alejandro Miranda transcended to take his place amongst the stars. Born in Santiago, Chile, Carlos graduated from Amherst College, and subsequently obtained a master’s degree at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. During those early years in Washington, he played soccer, expanded his love for music, and obtained a job in the mailroom of the InterAmerican Development Bank. This job became the gateway to his future. His professional life took him to all corners of the earth. His personal gifts allowed him to enter a room completely unknown, and exit that same room with friendships that would last a lifetime. He spent decades building a career that helped to develop impoverished countries, traveling the world and assisting countless strangers in improving their lives. But if you were to ask the legend himself, he would say his greatest accomplishment was his family. Carlos is survived by the love of his life, Linda Miranda, his daughters Danielle Miranda and Alessandra Miranda, his son Christian Alejandro Miranda, and the granddaughters he adored, Camilla and Leia. He leaves behind a legacy that will echo throughout the cosmos. A celebration of life will be held in the spring with date and location to be determined. Together forever in spirit.
