Carol J. Babineau - Obituary

arol Joan Babineau, 71, of Virginia Beach, VA and Edgewater MD, passed away peacefully at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD on November 25, 2021 surrounded by her four children. Carol was born on April 19, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Bristol Eastern High School. Carol pursued a career in education working in administration for Corkscrew Elementary School in Naples, FL before moving to Stafford, VA where she retired from the Administration Department of the Stafford School Board. Carol enjoyed playing softball and pickle ball. She also enjoyed boating, walking on the beach and relaxing at her condo in Virginia Beach. Her greatest pleasure came from simply spending time with her children and grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Harold Milby, stepfather, Hank Lafountain and her brother, Gary Milby. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Edmond; their four children, David Babineau of Raleigh, NC, Eddie Babineau (Rachel) of Chalfont, PA, Renee Prossner (Greg) of Annapolis, MD, and Amanda Huntley (Oscar) of Virginia Beach, VA; her mother, Joan Lafountain of Bristol, CT; two siblings, Ronald Lafountain of Bristol, CT and Debbie Lafountain also of CT; and five grandchildren, Paxton, Dashel and Finley Prossner and Bowen and Liam Huntley. A private memorial service will be held with immediate family in Virginia Beach where she loved to spend time relaxing. Condolences may be made by using the Memories tab on this page.
