Carol Cross - Obituary

AROL EVANS CROSS Carol Evans Cross, 73, a native of Pennsylvania and a 50-year resident of Annapolis, passed away at her home on May 24, 2015. She was born on May 4, 1942 to the late Richard and Ruth Abbott Evans. She married her husband, Huntley Cross on July 11, 1964. Carol and Huntley moved to Annapolis where she began a teaching career with Anne Arundel Public Schools which lasted over 35 years. Carol received her Bachelor Degree from California State College of Pennsylvania and then went on to Towson University, where she received her Masters. Spending her tenure at Old Mill, Mary Moss and Southern High School, she was an instructor in the Science Department, teaching Biology, Earth Science and Physiology. At Old Mill, Carol was also the cheerleading coach. When she wasn’t teaching Carol enjoyed Real Estate and protecting the environment. Carol was followed in death on May 27, 2015 by her husband, Huntley. She is survived by her son, Mark (Lane) Bolyard of Sterling, VA; a brother Richard Evans of Pittsburgh, PA; two grandchildren, Corey and Owen Bolyard Visitation with the family will be held on June 4 from 6 to 8 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1300 West St., Annapolis, MD 21401 where a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 5, at 11 AM.
