Carol E. Gore - Obituary

arol Elaine Gore, 74, a long time resident of Annapolis, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, in Annapolis, MD. Carol was born on December 14, 1946, in Pennsylvania to the late Raymond and Edith Markwell. She was a graduate of Annapolis High School. She enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her husband and daughters. Carol was an avid bowler as well as a bowling coach. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, baking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Langley. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Eddie Gore; her daughter, Marsha (Tim) LaFollette of Ashburn, Virginia and Melissa (Wayne) Bailey of Edgewater; and her brother, Steve (Jan) Markwell of Minnesota. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Daniel (Madina) Rollins and their daughter, Jasmine, and Amy (Deandre) Burnette and their sons, Jordan and Riley. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Carol’s life on Thursday, September 23, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037 where her funeral service will be held on Friday, September 24 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Annapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodland Beach VFD, PO Box 236, Edgewater, MD 21037.
