Carol Weeks - Obituary

arol Ann Weeks, a long time Annapolis resident, passed away peacefully on Feb 19, 2015 with many friends and family gathered at her side. Born in 1942, Carol enjoyed careers in both public education and private business. She always had pursuit of knowledge, completing a masters degree in education. Her independence and emotional strength were uncommon for a single woman of her generation; her love of life and the joy she brought to others made her special indeed. Carol had a lifelong love of travel with friends and family, including many trips to Europe, the Bahamas, and her most treasured Deer Isle Maine. Carol was predeceased by her beloved parents Tom and Laverne Weeks. She is survived by her sister Judy Weeks Gorsuch and husband Barry Gorsuch; nephew Stephen Gorsuch and niece Elizabeth Gorsuch King and husband Jerry King, and their children JJ and Jessie; her brother James Weeks and his wife Ina Obernesser; her uncle Fred Peake, and her cousins Kelly Peake Dulka, Frederick Lee Peake, and Walter Weeks Also surviving are Carol's goddaughters Anita and Caru Jones and their parents, Vic and Mary Ann Jones; and Carol's great friends John Pilli and Sherry Sansing; and many, many other friends in Annapolis, Nassau, and Deer Isle. A memorial gathering and celebration of Carol's life will be held Saturday April 4 at 11AM at The Park Place Residence in Annapolis.
