ith hearts both heavy and grateful, we remember Carole, whose life was a masterfully told story – full of color, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Carole Anne Peacock, 74, of Annapolis, Maryland, passed away on December 16, 2025, leaving behind a world that feels quieter without her voice, yet richer for having heard it. Born on August 2, 1951, in Richmond, Virginia, Carole spent the last 40 years of her life in Annapolis. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Known for her vibrant personality, Carole had a presence that filled every room – quick with laughter, rich in stories, and generous in her spirit. For many years, Carole served as a teacher and counselor, roles that were never simply professions but callings. In classrooms and counseling offices alike, Carole offered patience, encouragement, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every person she encountered. Carole earned her master’s degree in counseling from Loyola University, graduating with honors, and was a proud member of Chi Sigma Iota, the Counseling Honor Society. She was an active member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international counseling sorority. A true lover of boating, Carole felt most at peace surrounded by water. Traveling was another great passion of hers. Each destination was an opportunity to explore, learn, and create lasting memories. Shopping, however, was one of her greatest joys. She truly loved to shop. Not just for the items themselves, but for the experience of browsing, discovering, and finding something just right. Whether it was a thoughtful gift, a stylish accessory, or a spontaneous treat, she shopped with enthusiasm and flair, often thinking of others and delighting in sharing the story of her finds. Nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren, who knew her not just as a grandmother, but as their “Glamma” – a name that perfectly reflected her flair, love, and unforgettable personality. She was drawn to anything with a good story behind it – people, places, keepsakes, music, and moments shaped by meaning. She believed stories were what made life beautiful, and she had a gift for finding them everywhere. Whether listening, collecting, or sharing, she treated every story as something sacred and worth remembering. Carole’s memory will be forever cherished by her beloved husband of 34 years, John P. Peacock, Sr. with whom she shared a deep and devoted partnership built on love, laughter, and unwavering support to one another and their family. Her legacy continues through her children: Korey Knieriem, Steve Knieriem, John Peacock, Jr., stepson Russell Peacock, and stepdaughter Lauren Peacock. She was a proud Glamma to Kaitlyn Knieriem, Korey Knieriem, Jr., Kody Knieriem, Kailani Knieriem, and Phoenix Knieriem. She is also lovingly remembered by her brothers, Bill Blue and Randy Blue. A celebration of Carole’s life will be held on Saturday January 24, 2026, from 1pm to 4pm at the Cape St. Claire Clubhouse, 1223 River Bay Road, Annapolis, MD 21409. In celebration of Carole’s vibrant life, the family requests guests wear bright colors, florals, or patterns in lieu of traditional dark attire. To remember Carole is to remember that a well-lived life is one filled with curiosity, connection, and stories worth passing on. Condolences may be made by using the Memories link on this page.
