Carolina A. Muhlmeister - Obituary

arolina "Kakie" Muhlmeister passed away on February 19, 2017, of cancer. She was 87 years old. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Muhlmeister; four daughters, Scottie Schultz, Jinx Schottland, Doodle Stroetzel and Sharon Latham; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She and her husband owned downtown Annapolis' famous Muhlmeister's Ice Cream Parlor in the late sixties and early seventies. Carolina and Jerry lived in San Diego, CA and Annapolis, MD during her lifetime. Kakie was president of the Lioness Club and later joined the Lions Club, where she is still a member. Kakie enjoyed making cannonballs in the pool, whitewater rafting, boogie boarding in the Pacific and riding roller coasters with her grandchildren and "adopted" grandchildren. Always adventurous, she took a hot air balloon ride at 77 and swam with dolphins at 73. After retirement, Kakie took care of children ranging from infant to school age. She kept in touch with many of the children. The oldest being 23. All the way until her passing, Kakie pushed herself to live life to the fullest. She would often say that her perception of heaven is rocking baby angels for eternity and nothing could be better than that. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and prayers during Carolina's illness. She hopes to see you in the hereafter. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Church, 220 Owensville Road, West River, MD 20778.
