arolyn “Carol” V. Keegan, 73, a resident of Upper Marlboro, MD since 1969 and previously of Kingsland, Arkansas, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of natural causes.
Born February 19, 1938 in Kingsland, Arkansas, she graduated from Kingsland High School in 1955. She formed the first cheerleading squad at her high school and was a model for the Evening Star. Carol worked in real estate in Anne Arundel and Prince George’s County for 35 years and was a member of the National Association of Realtors. She enjoyed music, reading, writing, astrology and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Kathy Wells; two brothers and three sisters.
Carol is survived by her husband, Lawrence Keegan, whom she married in 1969; four children, Mark (Carol)Wells of Edgewater, MD, Lynn Ebel of Martinsburg, WV, Laurie Guild of Arnold, MD and Bryan Keegan of Owings, MD; two sisters, Betty Livingston of West Columbia, TX and Frances Welsh of Swan Point, MD; also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Carol’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Monday, March 28 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, where services will be held on Tuesday, March 29 at 1:30pm.
