Carolyn McVicker - Obituary

McVICKER'S VIDEO TRIBUTE Carolyn Margaret "Tiny" McVicker, 60, a resident of Edgewater for 12 years, died of complications following a lung transplant Nov. 13 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore after a four-year illness. Born April 27, 1947, in Staunton, Va., the daughter of Rita Hershfeld of Baltimore and the late James Curry, Mrs. McVicker graduated from high school and worked as billing clerk for Maryland Primary Care Physicians in Millersville. Her interests included sewing and her children. In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Keith "Bud" McVicker, whom she married in 1993. Surviving are four sons, Tim Longmire of Arnold, and Steven Longmire and Justin and Danny McVicker, all of Edgewater; one daughter, Jodi Longmire of Arnold; one brother, James Curry Jr. of Ocean Pines, Md.; five sisters, Christina Shepard of Zellwood, Fla., Mary Warren of Tampa, Fla., and Rita Curry, Marge Rippin and Kathy Frome, all of Baltimore; and one grandson Charles Patrick Longmire. Family and friends are invited to Carolyn's Life Celebration at THE GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Saturday, December 1, from 3 PM until her memorial service begins at 4 PM. Interment private.
