Carolyn Patricia Sherbert - Obituary

arolyn Patricia Sherbert, 88, a resident of Arnold, MD and previously of Edgewater, MD, died on Friday, February 13 at her home in Arnold. Born November 6, 1937 in Eastport, MD to the late Emma and Francis Shaw, Pat graduated from Annapolis High School in 1956. She worked for the State of Maryland and then for many years at Nationwide Insurance in Annapolis. Pat married Linny Sherbert on May 25, 1958. Over the years they enjoyed family trips to Ocean City and the Outer Banks, spoiling their children and grandchildren; as well as their Friday bowling league. Pat was an exceptional cook and enjoyed having dinner every Sunday with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, filling their lives with support, understanding and love. She is survived by her husband Linny Sherbert, her sons Darrell (Dawn) Sherbert and Mike (Barbara) Sherbert and daughter Tracey (John) Shore; her sibling David (Michele) Shaw; grandchildren Gregory (Carly) Sherbert, Brittany Sherbert, Matthew (Kelsey) Sherbert, Sara (Austin) Marcum, Dylan Sherbert, Kaitlyn Shore and Alison Shore and great grandson Graham Sherbert. Pat was preceded in death by her brother Francis Shaw, Jr., and sister Priscilla Shaw. A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1911 Forest Drive, Annapolis on Thursday, February 19 at 11:00 am. A celebration of life will immediately follow at the Annapolis Elks Lodge, 2 Pythian Drive, Edgewater.
