Carrie Shelton - Obituary

arrie James Bassett Shelton Carrie James Bassett Shelton, 91, a resident of Davidsonville, died on August 13, 2014 at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Carrie was born April 29, 1923 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Albert F. and Mary Jane Garrison Bassett. She was a homemaker and enjoyed travelling. In addition to her parents, Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Deward E. Shelton, three brothers; Dean, John and Harvey Bassett and two sisters; Charlee Freeman and Mary Casper. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Cara Schwalje and her husband Michael of Davidsonville, MD, her son; James E. Shelton and his wife Leslie of Germantown, MD. Also survived by her grandchildren Alexander and Nathaniel Schwalje and Gregory and Kendall Shelton. A funeral service will be held at Fort Myer- Old Post Chapel on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 3pm.Interment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery.
