Catherine Felesky - Obituary

atherine Ann "Cathy" Felesky, 68, of Churchton and previously of Bowie, died of ovarian cancer Nov. 4 at her home after a 3½-year illness. Mrs. Felesky was born in Washington, D.C., on July 15, 1939, the daughter of the late Louis and Ersilia Barsotti. She retired in 1999 after working for 25 years as a secretary at Parkdale High School in Prince George's County. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in West River and formerly of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Bowie. She enjoyed spending time at her beach house in Fenwick Island, Del., family and friends and collecting antiques. Surviving are her husband, Richard P. Felesky Sr., whom she married Sept. 6, 1958; one son, Richard P. Felesky Jr. of Edgewater; two daughters, Sharon Warner of Davidsonville and Suzanne Crawford of Chesapeake Beach; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Road, West River. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
