atherine H. “Cherry” Robinson, 90, a 35-year resident of Davidsonville and Annapolis, died on Wednesday, May 30 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born on August 29, 1921 in Washington, DC to the late James and Margaret Hunt, Cherry attended St. Patrick’s High School where she played on the basketball team. After graduation, she went to work at the FBI as a fingerprint analyst. In 1942, she married William Robinson and became a career housewife focused on maintaining a supportive home for her husband and sons. Cherry was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville where she was a devoted member of the Rosary Group. She was also a member of the Harbour Hills Yacht Club. She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, gardening and feeding her family. In her younger years, she also enjoyed playing tennis and dancing. In addition to her husband, Cherry is survived by two sons, William (Janet) Jr. of Summerville, SC and James (Mary) of Davidsonville; four grandchildren, Charles, Matthew and James Robinson and Kathryn (Brendan) Bellotte; one great-grandson, Chase W. Robinson; a nephew, John Wade Koontz and a niece, Teresa Noland. Friends are invited to Cherry’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, June 5 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD 21035 from 10AM until a Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11AM. Inurnment Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
