atherine Wolf was born on May 13, 1935 in Wynne, Arkansas to the late Edward K. Cross and Annie Bell (Perry) Cross. She was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 30, 2013.
Catherine was educated in Wynne, Arkansas public school system and received her high school diploma from Childress Vocational High School. After graduation she worked in the medical profession.
Catherine accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the Church of God in Christ in Wynne, Arkansas. She served on the usher board. She was a faithful member until relocating to other states. Most recently Catherine was a member of the New Chapel Baptist Church in Camp Springs, MD where she served as a missionary.
Catherine’s hobbies included making floral arrangements, ceramics and finding bargains at her local thrift store. She had a flair for design and loved decorating her home. She was a loyal friend who treasured sharing advice and wisdom with others. One of her favorite sayings was “The Lord will make a way somehow”. Catherine enjoyed traveling and especially spending time with her namesake Catherine Shante.
Catherine was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves to cherish her precious memories daughter, Sheena Ferguson; two sons, Willie Neal and Kenneth Hill; seven grandchildren; one sister, Lillie Collins (Park Forest, IL) and one brother, Eddie Cross (Houston, TX), and a host of other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Cathy's Life Celebration on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 10am until time of service at 11am at the GEORGE P.
