Cathrine Vernon - Obituary

athrine Helen Vernon, a resident of Washington, D.C. and previously of Colorado died at Anne Arundel Medical Center on Saturday, March 28, 2015. She was 90. Born on October 22, 1924 in Oklahoma, Cathrine was the youngest of eleven children. During WWII, she worked as a Government Girl. Cathrine loved to garden. She was the devoted wife of the late Frank Vernon, whom she married in 1945 and who died in 2004; beloved mother of Edward Vernon and his wife, Patsy of Fredericksburg, VA and Gail Vernon and her wife, Laura Bertrand of Annapolis, MD; grandmother of Edward of Hawaii, Tiffany of Spotsylvania, VA and Christie of Baltimore, MD, she is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
