Celia Ostrowski - Obituary

elia Eleanor Ostrowski Celia Eleanor Rospond Ostrowski, age 93, of Sea Girt, NJ, died September 27, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, Maryland, of natural causes. She was born June 29, 1915 in Newark, NJ. Mrs. Ostrowski was a member of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church in Sea Girt where she founded the Rosary Makers. This group has distributed more than 100,000 rosaries all around the world. She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, gardening and visiting with her large family. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Sigismund J. Ostrowski, mother of Dr. John S. Ostrowski of Annapolis and sister of John Rospond of Basking Ridge, NJ. She is also survived by five grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, October 13 at St. Mark's, 215 Crescent Pkwy, Sea Girt at 1 pm. A viewing will be held the same day from 12:30 till 1pm at the church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Mark's Rosary Makers or the Social Concerns Committee of St. Mark's. Arrangements by the George P.
