Charles Adelman - Obituary

harles “Charlie” Adelman, 82, a resident of Lothian, MD for many years died May 3, 2011 at Heritage Harbour Health and Rehabilitation Center of natural causes. Born January 27, 1929 in Washington, DC, Charlie worked as a gardener at the Pan American Union in Washington, DC. Charlie was the past commander of the VFW and lifelong member of the DAV. He enjoyed gardening. He was predeceased by his wife, Lydia Adelman. Charlie is survived by two brothers, Robert F. Adelman of Edgewater, MD and Richard Adelman of Agawam, MA. Friends are invited to Charlie’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Thursday, May 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 18 at 1:45pm at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.
