harles Richard Armstrong, 74, a resident of Edgewater, MD, and previously of Bowie, MD, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, July 26, 2016.
Charles was born on February 7, 1942 in Washington, DC., to the late Robert E. and Marie V. Armstrong. He served his country in the United States Army and was a Master Pressman, working at both Todd Allen Printing and Hundley Lithograph. He was a member of the Bowie Lions Club and SHARE. His interests included camping and spending time with family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Theresa Armstrong, and one brother; Robert Armstrong.
He is survived by his children; Katie Poole of Shady Side, MD and Sean Armstrong of Prince Frederick, MD, his grandchildren; Bryan, Kiley and Kendall Armstrong, Dakota Poole and Brittany Hicks, also survived by his two great grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Charles life on Sunday, July 31 from 2pm until a memorial service begins at 3pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. Inurnment will take place at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham at a later date.
