Charles Allen Burton - Obituary

harles Allen “Charlie” Burton, 62, a longtime resident of Edgewater and previously of Odenton, died peacefully at his home on October 29, 2022 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Baltimore on November 15, 1959 and earned an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, which led to a career as a field technician with Verizon. He was a 32nd degree Mason and attended Chesapeake Christian Fellowship. He enjoyed computers, Sudoku and Woodoku puzzles, computer card games like Solitaire and Free Cell, watching TV and movies and going on cruises with his wife Larrianne. Charlie is survived by his wife of 37 years, Larrianne; his children, Christopher Burton of Edgewater and Kelly Sheridan of Romney, WV; his grandchildren, Ian, Sean and Brianna Turner, and Amber and Autumn Sheridan; and his sister, Wanda Burton of Odenton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Arthur “Art” Burton and Millie Burton. Friends and family are invited to a memorial gathering on Friday, November 11 from 6-7 PM, followed by a celebration of life service at 7, at Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Interment is private.
