harles Joseph Cammarata “Frankâ€, 77, a resident of Annapolis for almost all of his life, died at his home on January 16, 2010 from cancer. Born on March 12, 1932 in Baltimore, MD to the late Charles and Marie Cammarata, he was a graduate of Annapolis High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant, receiving the United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal and Japan Occupation Medal. As a civilian, Frank worked for the C&P Telephone Company in Annapolis for 37 years. He enjoyed golf and crabbing and was a member of the Elks Lodge #622 and the Fleet Reserve.
Frank is survived by his wife, Joan Cammarata, whom he married in 1956; one son, Mark Cammarata of Pasadena, MD; two daughters, Leslie Schneider of Arnold, MD and Pamela Cammarata of Clarksville, MD; one sister, Jane Hays of Annapolis and four grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Nadine Brown and the late Carlotta Woods.
Friends are invited to Frank's Life Celebration on Monday from 1 until 3 and 6 until 8 p.m. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, at 10 a.m. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
