Charles W. Giannetti - Obituary

e was born on February 22, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA to the late William M. and Felicia Kaminski Giannetti and passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016. He graduated from LaSalle College and was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He then became a Special Agent with FBI and retired after 25 years of service. He continued serving his country working with various DOD contractors. He was the beloved husband of 54 years to Kathryn Broderick Giannetti; father of Elizabeth Philpott, Pamela (Billy) Widener, Peter (Mayumi) Giannetti and Amy Giannetti (Pentti) Gillespie; brother of the late Joanna Giannetti Meyer; grandfather of Heather and Bradley Widener, Shannon Philpott and Kentaro Nico Giannetti and beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was a Viet Nam veteran and member of the society of former FBI agents, Fraternal Order of Police, DC Ramblers MC, Blue Knights and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed traveling, sailing, fishing, hunting, cooking and riding his motorcycle. Relatives and friends are invited to Bud's Celebration of Life at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's of Piscataway Catholic Church, 13401 Piscataway Rd., Clinton, MD. Interment with military honors at a later date.
