Charles Oswald - Obituary

harles William Oswald (Chuck), age 78, a two year resident of Annapolis, MD and formerly of Capitol Heights, MD, died on July 12, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center due to congestive heart failure. Born on March 8, 1932 in Batesburg, SC, Chuck was a mason in the construction industry for most of his life. Chuck is survived by his former wife, Marguerite M. Conte of Edgewater, MD; a son, Charles Oswald of Silver Spring, MD; two daughters, Vera Garofalo of Spotsylvania, VA and Rosalie Naylor of Clinton, NC; two brothers, Vernon Oswald of New Orleans, LA and Paul Oswald of Baltimore, MD; three sisters, Lovis Lengle of Memphis, TN, Wanda Raleigh of Alligator Point, FL and Elizabeth Lyddy Cotten of Riva, MD. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. Friends are invited to Chuck's Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm where services will be held on Friday, July 16 at 1:00pm. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD.
