Charles Scott Sudduth - Obituary

Charles Scott Sudduth, 71, a 30-year resident of Crofton, MD, passed away at his home on December 17, 2018. Born on July 31, 1947 in Washington, DC, Scott left college to join the first academy class for the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. Throughout his 28-year career, he was promoted to Lieutenant and Fire Marshall and was an Arson Investigator when he retired in 1996. Scott was a member of the AACO Fire Department Retirees Association and the Nichols Bethel United Methodist Church. He was also a NASCAR enthusiast. Scott was preceded death by his daughter, Christy Rogers. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Vanessa Sudduth; his son Curtis (Julie) Sudduth of Inverness, FL and four grandsons, Jacob, William, Hunter and Elliott. Friends are invited to celebrate Scott’s life with his family on Wednesday, December 19 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD where his funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 20 at 11 a.m.. Burial will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.
