harles Randolph White, Sr., "Randy", 93 a resident of Upper Marlboro for ten years, died on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at his home of natural causes. Born on November 21, 1922 in Washington, DC, to the late Edward and Sophia White, Randy served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a records administrator with the Department of the Navy for many years. Randy was also an usher at Redskins games for 71 years and worked at Safeway and Bowie Baysox baseball games. He was a member of the Lions Club and St. Mary's Piscataway Catholic Church. Randy was preceded in death by his wife, Betty White in 2007; his daughter Janet Thomas and son Fred White; his brother, Cliff White and three sisters, Vester , Bea and Slater. He is survived by his children, Rose Marie Merkle, Cecilia Lewis, Chris, Jim, Danny and Chuck White; his sisters, Margaret Ingwersen and Adele Stein and he is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate Randy's life from 3 to 6 pm on Thursday, November 17 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Friday, November 18 at St. Mary's Piscataway Catholic Church Chapel, 13401 Piscataway Rd., Clinton, MD.
