As the oldest of six children, he acquired parenting, cooking and teaching skills at an early age which led to his eventual interest in becoming an educator. Chick worked his way through Millersville University and earned a B.S. degree in secondary education in 1967. While in school, he met Marilyn Spangler whom he married three months after his graduation. Chick began his teaching career at Francis Scott Key Junior High School in Prince George’s County. Chick was a member of the DeMatha Senior Boosters and spent his last weekend cooking at the Booster’s crab feast. He was an avid sports fan especially of the Orioles and Redskins. He enjoyed reading mystery and spy novels, coin collecting, cooking, playing bridge and being a member of his Wednesday R.O.M.E.O. (Retired Old Men Eating Out) Group. He was a world traveler, having visited six continents with his wife. Chick’s greatest passion though was spending time with his granddaughters. He was predeceased by his step-father, George C. (Kellie) Williamson of Buffalo, NY; mother, Betty Lou Morris of Penndel, PA; three brothers, Arthur Williamson, George C.
