I

t is with great sadness that the Gray family announce Charlotte Virginia Gray, 78, a 38-year resident of Edgewater, MD, died on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in Severna Park, MD, following a long term illness. Known to family and friends as "Charl" or "Cha-Cha" she was born on October 25, 1944, to the late Virginia and Norman Gray, Sr. She graduated from Oxon Hill High School. Charlotte worked as a draftsman for C&P Telephone, a Paste Up Typesetter for McDonald & Eudy Printers Inc., and General Imaging until her retirement in 2005. She had an artistic talent and a love for travel. Charlotte was happiest spending time with her family and friends. She was a kind and generous soul with a joyful nature. To Charlotte, no one was considered a stranger and her infectious personality was loved by all. Her humorous wit and ability to make everyone laugh will be at the forefront of everyone's mind when they think of her. Charlotte is survived by six siblings, Norman Gray, Jr. of Annapolis, MD, Ellen Yates of North Beach, MD, Robert (Lynn) Gray of Edgewater, MD, Karen (Dale) Dennison of Waldorf, MD, Stephen (Chris) Gray of Edgewater, MD, and Deborah Gray of Panama City Beach, FL.; five nephews, Bill (Kathy) Miller, Mark (Joanne) Miller, Dale Dennison, Matthew (Elisse) Gray, and Collin Gray; and four nieces, Stacy (Jim) Lyons, Kate (Matt) Moore, Kelsey (Michael) Goodfriend, and Lauren (Brian) Wells. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, George Yates, and a nephew, Jim Miller.
