Charlotte Ann Pantaleo-Mefford - Obituary

harlotte Ann Pantaleo, a lifelong resident of Annapolis, MD died on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at her home in Gingerville. She was 73. Born November 14, 1943, in Annapolis, MD to the late Howard and Ottie Worley Bassford, she graduated from Annapolis High School in 1961. Following high school graduation, Charlotte began working for BG&E until she left to care for her son. She returned to the workforce at BG&E as an executive assistant in Washington, D.C. and later for Pennsylvania Power & Light (PPL). She was a longtime member of Heritage Baptist Church in Annapolis, where she was an active volunteer. Charlotte enjoyed travelling, quilting, baking and doting on her new grandchild, Joseph. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Mefford. Charlotte is survived by her son, Christopher Pantaleo of Penfield, NY; a sister, Fay Myers of Riva, MD; and her beloved grandchildren, Joseph Pantaleo and Charlie MacDougall Knapp. Friends may call at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, August 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 17 at Heritage Baptist Church, Annapolis, MD at 11a.m. Interment private.
